Scope of Training:
This course is designed to teach personnel survival
techniques in the unlikely event of an offshore incident,
vessel accident, or unscheduled helicopter landing on the
water.
Course Objective:
Student successfully completing this course will be able
to:
- Perform Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET)
- Identify the differences and don a PFD in and out of the water
- Recognize abandonment procedures on a station bill
- Use short and long term survival skills
- Utilize alternative floatation means
- Have general knowledge of associated hazards
