Scope of Training:
Since 1978, lead was taken out of most paints
we use today. There still exists a hazard from the paint
used before 1980. Workers need to be aware of the possible
hazards associated with the removal of contaminated paint.
Course Objective:
Student successfully completing this course will be able
to perform the following duties:
- Have recognition of contamination
- Be able to recognize the symptoms of exposure
- Use of respirators and proper PPE
- Use and understand regulatory requirements (OSHA)
- Identify on the job hazards
