Scope of Tool Safety Training:
This course gives added reinforcement for the
need to have safe operating procedures and the necessary
equipment to accomplish a safe and efficient operation.
The course also exposes students to new equipment technology
and equipment options for different situations that may
be encountered on the job. This course will involve planning
tasks that will include choosing proper personal protection
equipment and recognizing hand hazards.
Tool Safety Course Objective:
At the course conclusion, student trainees should be able
to:
- Explain how accidents can be significantly reduced
- Identify hazards that are associated with the specific types of tools employees use
- Name hand and power tools that are used everyday
- Explain the differences between power and hand tools
