Scope of EMT Basic Training:
The EMT-Basic course offered by ASSI is a State
Bureau of EMS, approved training program which is based
of the US Department of Transportation curriculum for Emergency
Medical Technicians-Basic. Individuals who successfully
complete this program are eligible to take the National
Registry of EMTs’ examination (sponsored by the LA Bureau
of EMS).

- Patient assessment and management of trauma
- Cardiac arrest management and AED
- Airway management and esophageal tracheal combitube
- Basic Anatomy and physiology of the human body
- General pharmacology
- Multiple-trauma management
