Scope of Confined Space Training:
This course gives added reinforcement for safe
operating procedures and the necessary equipment to accomplish
a safe and efficient operation. The course also exposes
students to new equipment technology and equipment options
for different situations that may be encountered on the
job. This course will involve hands-on scenarios that will
include choosing proper fall protection equipment, recognizing
confined space hazards, and planning tasks at elevation
or in a confined space.
Confined Space Course Objective:
At the completion of the course, a student trainee should
be able to:
- Same as Entrant Attendant
- Discuss responses to emergencies
- Develop an effective rescue plan
- Use of specialized retrieval systems
- Use of a spine board
- Special rescue system consideration and evaluation
- Conduct vertical rescue/horizontal rescue
- Plan a confined space job
