Scope of Benzene Awareness Training:
This course describes physical characteristics
of benzene. The exposure limits and health affects and hazards
are also included. Where to locate benzene and how to protect
yourself from overexposure are also explained in this program.
We incorporate the use of respirators in accordance with
OSHA 29 CFR standards.
Benzene Awareness Course Objective:
At the completion of the course, a student trainee should
be able to:
- Describe where benzene can be found
- Discuss exposure limits
- Describe how to properly protect themselves when working in an environment that may contain benzene
- List the different types of respirators
